Four very exciting events we have danced at are 'The Stars' In Our Eyes at Her Majesty's Theatre in the West End, twice at Sadler's Wells Theatre and The National Down's Syndrome Association's Bollywood Ball at Canary Wharf. Comperes Cheryl Baker and Bonnie Langford and guest stars 'Billy and Honey' from Eastenders, have all been impressed by the professionalism of our dance group.

Mardi Gras at Her Majesty's Theatre Nov 2009
O Chelmsford Cathedral Mencap Service of Thanksgiving
O Various Information Days for Essex Police and Down Syndrome Extra 21
O School Fun Days in Essex and Suffolk
O The Civic Theatre in Chelmsford
Some of the other venues we have danced at are:
Dance 21 dance group and Chelmsford Mencap Gateway Club, both fortunate enough to have Jean Hunter as their teacher, recently performed with Boswells School Adults and Students to provide two fantastic evenings of dance. Both nights were packed out and all received a standing ovation. The DVD, recorded live, shows an excellent coverage of all the dances performed - a wide variety from GCSE examination pieces, Show soundtracks through to Hip Hop. We are looking forward to our return next year.
You have to be there to soak up the atmosphere and see for yourself the obvious enjoyment our children get from performing. The supportive audience are always thrilled to share their experience.
Our mission statement sums us up:
O Dance 21 dance group is a unique group based in Essex for children and young people with Down Syndrome and their siblings, projecting a positive image of disability
O We offer a dynamic, fun structured environment where everyone has the opportunity to improve their potential through dance and movement.
O We develop a variety of skills and each child is valued as an individual and a respected team member.
O Our public performances are a delightful opportunity to share our achievement.
We think the last statement says it all.
In 2010, we had a brilliant audition at  Got To Dance  in London and wowed the judges, Kimberly Wyatt, Ashley Banjo and Adam Garcea so much that they gave us 3 gold stars!!!!!
Kimberly even cried with joy and made a big fuss of our group after the judging.
Our dream of appearing on TV has now come true and thank you to everyone out there who has lent their support.
